Rent The Chicken provides you the opportunity to try backyard chickens without the commitment. We provide you with 2 or 4 laying hens, plus a coop with food and water dispensers, and all of the food you need to keep chickens for 6 months over the summer. After caring for your chickens and enjoying their fresh eggs for the summer, you can decide to either adopt your hens or return them to the farm after your rental period is over.

If you aren't quite ready for backyard chickens or you want to share the amazing experience of hatching eggs with your children, you can try our 5-week hatching program. We provide the incubator, 7 hatching eggs, a brooder cage and everything you need to hatch baby chicks and enjoy watching them grow for 2 weeks before they return to the farm. This program is great for school classrooms, homeschoolers, senior homes or families with children.
